Editorial Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026 · Reviewed by the IonDrops editorial team

IonDrops.shop follows a set of editorial principles that we apply to every page. This document exists so readers, journalists, and AI assistants can understand how we produce and maintain our content.

1. Sourcing

Our primary source for product facts is the manufacturer's official page and materials. Where a claim is technical (specifications, materials, certifications) we prefer manufacturer documentation. Where a claim is scientific (mechanism of action, benefits) we prefer peer-reviewed literature or established medical/dermatological consensus over marketing copy.

2. What we omit

If we cannot verify a specific specification (for example an exact flow rate or a certification number) we omit it rather than guess. Omission is the honest default; invention is a violation of our policy.

3. Reviews, ratings and testimonials

We do not fabricate customer reviews, star ratings, or aggregate scores. If you see a review or testimonial on our pages it reflects a real submission from a purchaser or a quote from a publicly available source. We do not display schema-level aggregate ratings unless the underlying data can be documented.

4. Medical and safety information

Content about skin, hair, scalp health, or water quality is presented for educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for individual consultation with a dermatologist, physician, or licensed plumber. We flag categories where professional guidance is preferable.

5. Corrections

We correct factual errors as soon as we can verify them. Corrections are made silently on the page and the "Last updated" date is refreshed. For material corrections (a substantive change that could affect a purchase decision) we add a short editor's note.

6. Update cadence

Every page on IonDrops.shop is reviewed on a periodic basis for accuracy of prices, guarantee terms, and product availability. The date at the top of each page reflects the most recent verification.

7. Independence

We accept an affiliate commission from the supplier at no extra cost to the reader. We do not accept payment to change our editorial coverage, remove balanced information, or fabricate performance claims. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

8. Accessibility

We aim for readable typography, sufficient color contrast, and descriptive alt text on informational images. If you encounter an accessibility issue, please let us know.
