This page explains how the content on this site is produced and maintained, so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give it.

How we research

Our StopWatt review is based on the manufacturer's official product pages and published specifications, the supplier's live pricing and guarantee terms, and user feedback published by the manufacturer. Where a claim comes from the manufacturer — such as testimonials or the displayed rating — we label it as such in the review.

How we write

We write in plain English for regular households. We include both the strengths and the limitations of a product, we avoid promising specific outcomes, and we use hedged language ("designed to", "can help") when results depend on the reader's home, wiring, or appliances.

How we update

Pricing, discounts, and guarantee details are checked against the official site periodically and each page shows its "Last updated" date below the title. If the supplier changes an offer between our checks, the official checkout page always prevails.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Readers can flag errors through our contact page; verified corrections are applied to the page and the "Last updated" date is refreshed.

Monetization and independence

This site is funded by affiliate commissions, disclosed on every page and detailed in our affiliate disclosure. Commissions do not change the price you pay. Our editorial choices — what to cover, which limitations to list, what to recommend — are made by the TechsTrends editorial team, not by the supplier.

Scope and limits

Content on this site is educational and informational. It is not professional electrical, financial, or medical advice. For questions about your home's wiring or electrical safety, consult a licensed electrician.
