Editorial Policy
Last updated:
This page describes how content on TechsTrends is researched, written, updated, and corrected. It exists so readers can judge how much to trust what we publish.
Scope
TechsTrends publishes editorial reviews and buying guides for consumer tech and OTC health tech aimed at US households. We focus on the questions a first-time buyer would actually ask: what is it, who is it for, who is it not for, what does it cost, what is in the box, and how long is the return window.
Sources of fact
Product facts on our review pages — price, guarantee, package contents, dimensions, features, shipping and return terms — come from the merchant's own materials (offer page, checkout, packaging, customer-support email). We cite the merchant as the source when it is not obvious. If we cannot verify a claim through the merchant, we do not publish it as fact.
What we do not do
- We do not fabricate reviews or ratings. If we cannot show a real reviewer, a real date, and real review text, we omit
aggregateRatingandreviewfrom the page's structured data. Search engines flag fabricated review data as a policy violation, and it deceives readers. - We do not invent expert credentials. When we quote a specialist, we name a real, verifiable person or clearly attribute the statement to the merchant.
- We do not "puff" a category to move commission. When a category has legitimate limitations, we describe them.
Health content
The Nebroo HearWell review is in a Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) category. We follow three rules for YMYL content:
- The page states clearly that it is not medical advice and does not replace a licensed clinician's opinion.
- The page identifies who the product is not for — severe or profound hearing loss, minors, and undiagnosed sudden hearing changes.
- The page carries the FDA disclaimer required by the merchant's category.
Corrections
If you find a factual error on any page, please email support@techstrends.shop with the URL and a short description. We correct verified errors within 2 business days. When a correction changes a material fact (price, guarantee, package contents), we update the "Last updated" date on the affected page.
Updates and freshness
Product facts on the merchant side change often. Our review pages carry a visible "Reviewed & last updated on" line right below the H1, plus article:modified_time in the page's meta tags. We review each product page at least every 90 days and update whenever a merchant change would materially affect a buying decision.
Advertising and sponsorships
We accept affiliate commissions on outbound "Buy now" links (see our affiliate disclosure). We do not accept paid guest posts or sponsored placements that would be indistinguishable from editorial content.
Editorial independence from the merchant
The merchant (Nebroo, for the Nebroo HearWell review) has no editorial control over what we publish. Nebroo has not paid to remove critical language, and we do not send drafts to the merchant for approval.
